I've GOT to start updating this place more than once every few months.
You're honestly probably finding me from there anyway, but in case you somehow missed it, I have a Bluesky now! I've been posting sketches over there fairly regularly, trying to wean myself off of Twitter. All of the social media pages are shitholes but I'd say Bluesky is the one that pisses me off the least for the moment, so I'm trying to focus my energy over there. I do have a Pillowfort as well, although I was only really reminded of it after a couple people followed me there and I got a notification in my e-mail. It's been pretty dead over there so I can't see myself using it much, but if you have an account over there, drop on by and let me know if you saw this blog update! Realistically it's probably the quickest way to get me to see it, as I generally keep my notifications off on most other sites, but with Pillowfort being so quiet at the moment I've decided to let the notifications stay for now. Maybe someday I'll work up the nerve to share an e-mail address for those who wish to contact me, but...eh, being a somewhat-prominent artist online who has apparently passed 9,000 follows on Twitter means that the floodgates have been fully opened for harassment from idiots every time something I draw gets an iota of traction. So I'll be keeping that locked down for now, thank you very much!
Next note, and again, you've probably seen this if you follow my RSS feed: I recently added some new comic pages to the site! I'm still hesitant to say I'm out of my hiatus, but I have been drafting up some new comics recently. I'm not sure when they're be "ready for primetime", as the saying goes, but I'm gradually working on that again. Either way, for those of you that missed Charlie and her friends, rejoice! Or maybe not! As you'll see in the recent sketch comics, I sorta pressed the reset button on some shit in as blunt a way as possible. As I may or may not have mentioned here, I kinda lost interest in the romance story as it was in Hedgehog's Dilemma, to the point that I couldn't really even be bothered to write my way out of it in a standard manner. So I let myself cheat. Is it even cheating really? It's my comic after all, I make the rules! Either way, Charlie and that other girl aren't dating at the moment. But everyone is still safe and sound and kicking around in the Hedgehog's World. Just taking things in a different direction! I still gotta figure out what exactly I wanna do with the others, but for now I wanna at least focus on fleshing out Charlie and her roommate Rachael a bit more before I start dealing with more recurring characters. This time I'm trying not to bite off more than I can chew!
In other news, for those who partake in pony, I will be attending Everfree Northwest 2025! Obviously nothing is locked in just yet, but I intend to have a spot in the vendor hall again this year. I'm trying to think up a couple of new things to sell so I can have something fresh to sell this time, but nothing's really been hitting my brain as "the idea" currently. Maybe a sketch zine? Possibly some new stickers? I was also considering branching out and selling some Sonic stuff at the table too, now that I've seen others do so. But again, I gotta think of what I wanna make first! Hopefully I'll have an update on that soon as well. Making up merch is harder than it looks!
